Winter Sangria

Stir things up with a bright and cheery winter sangria made simple with our fruit cocktail
1 can (15 oz) Del Monte Fruit Cocktail in 100% juice (do not drain)
1 bottle (750 ml) red wine (such as Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon)
1/4 cup brandy (optional)
1/4 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons honey or simple syrup (adjust to taste)
1 cinnamon stick
2-3 whole cloves
Club soda or ginger ale, for serving
In a large pitcher, combine the red wine, the entire can of Del Monte Fruit Cocktail with its juice, orange juice, and brandy (if using).
Stir in the honey or simple syrup until dissolved. Add the cinnamon stick and cloves. Stir gently to mix.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours to let the flavors meld together.
Before serving, stir well. Serve over ice and top with a splash of club soda or ginger ale for a bit of fizz. Garnish with a few pieces of fruit from the sangria, if desired.
