Ingredients

1 fruit cup (7 oz.) Del Monte® Escapes Mango Strawberry-Rita, chilled 

1 1/2 oz. white rum (3 Tbsp.)

1 large fresh lime 

1/2 cup ice cubes (about 4 or 5)

Garnish: lime slice and fresh strawberry, umbrella

Directions

  1. Cut a lime in half across the middle; cut a slice from one half for the garnish.  Cut a slit through 1/2 of the lime slice and the bottom half of a strawberry and fit them onto the rim of a glass; set aside.

  2. Juice the larger half of lime (1 Tbsp.) directly into the blender; add contents of Escapes cup, rum and ice to a blender.  Blend on high until smooth, about 30 seconds.  Pour into glass and enjoy. Cheers!

TIPS: 

  • Chill the Escapes cups in the refrigerator at least 2 hours before making cocktails. 
  • Strawberry Twist: Add 2 fresh strawberries to the blender for a pinker daquiri with more strawberry flavor
  • To squeeze the most juice from the lime: Before cutting the lime, place it on the counter; press and roll back and forth with the heel of your hand until it softens slightly. Then cut and use a citrus reamer or citrus press to extract the juice.
