Easy Fire Roasted Tomato Salsa
Fire Roasted Tomatoes add a little smoky flavor to this easy salsa that you can make mild or spicy with your choice of green chiles. For variety, try 1 or more of the add-ins.
1 can (14.5 oz.) Del Monte® Fire Roasted Diced Tomatoes, well drained
1 can (4 oz.) mild or hot diced green chiles, well drained
1/4 cup finely chopped white onion
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro leaves and tender stems
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. lime juice
Salt
Optional Add-Ins: 1/2 cup Del Monte® Whole Kernel Corn, 1/2 cup canned black beans (rinsed), 1 tsp. grated lime zest
Coarsely chop tomatoes into pieces no larger than 1/2-inch.
Combine tomatoes, chiles, onion, cilantro, garlic, lime juice and any add-ins in a medium bowl. Season to taste with salt.
TIP: For a smooth salsa, put all ingredients except add-ins in a blender or food processor and pulse to desired consistency.
