1 tsp. olive oil

12 oz. extra lean ground beef

1 can (14.5oz.) Del Monte® Original Recipe Stewed Tomatoes [or Del Monte® Italian Recipe Stewed Tomatoes], not drained

1 can (8oz.) Del Monte® Tomato Sauce

1 Tbsp. dried basil

1 tsp. dried oregano

½ tsp. dried rosemary

Salt and black pepper, optional


  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown beef, stirring frequently.

  2. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, basil, oregano and rosemary.

  3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes, breaking up the larger tomato pieces with a wooden spoon. Season to taste with salt and pepper, if desired.
