Pasta with Tuna & Peas
The whole family will love this simple one-pot pasta that’s made with pantry ingredients.
3 cups water
1 can (5 oz.) solid tuna in olive oil, not drained
3 cups uncooked medium shells pasta, rotini or penne (8 oz.)
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
1 can (15.25 oz.) Del Monte® Tender Petites® Very Young Small Sweet Peas, well drained
Juice and zest of 1 lemon
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
Fresh dill or basil, black pepper, red pepper flakes, parmesan cheese
Bring water to a boil in a large saucepan or skillet. Meanwhile, empty tuna can into a small bowl; gently flake into chunks with a fork and set aside.
Add pasta, garlic powder and salt to boiling water; return to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-high and cook about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until most of the water is absorbed and the pasta is tender. Stir in peas, lemon juice, lemon zest and pepper; cook 1 minute.
Remove from heat; gently stir in tuna with oil. Serve with toppings, as desired.
