Chili Garlic Green Beans

Three ingredients make a “swicy” (sweet + spicy) glaze that clings to the green beans with bold flavor. Broiling on a sheet pan blisters the beans, easily transforming a simple dinner into something remarkable.
4 cans (14.5 oz. each) Del Monte® Whole or Cut Green Beans
1 to 2 Tbsp. jarred chili garlic sauce (not sriracha)
1 Tbsp. honey
1/2 tsp. toasted sesame oil
1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
Optional Toppings: 2 Tbsp. thinly sliced green onions, 1 tsp. toasted sesame seeds
Preheat broiler with oven rack in the top position. Drain green beans well in a colander and pat very dry with paper towels; set aside. In a small bowl, stir together garlic chili sauce, honey and sesame oil; set aside.
Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with foil; add vegetable oil and green beans and gently toss with hands to coat. Spread beans out evenly. Broil 5 to 6 minutes until most beans are browned and blistered in spots; stir gently with a silicone spatula and spread out.
Broil 3 to 4 minutes until further browned but not burnt. Add sauce mixture; gently toss to coat beans and spread out. Broil 1 to 2 minutes until glazed but not burnt. Transfer to a serving bowl and sprinkle with toppings, as desired.
TIP: The dryer the beans, the faster and better they will brown.
