Ingredients

1 tub (52 oz.) Del Monte® Mango and Pineapple in Extra Light Syrup
3/4 cup prepared teriyaki sauce
1 can (8 oz.) Del Monte® Tomato Sauce
1/2 cup water
2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. Tajín® Clásico Seasoning
1 package (26 to 28 oz.) frozen mini, party, or bite size homestyle meatballs (not thawed)
Garnish Options: White sesame seeds, sliced green onion, Tajín

Directions

  1. Drain mango and pineapple, reserving the syrup for another use (see Tip). Blend 1 1/4 cups mango and pineapple chunks, teriyaki sauce, tomato sauce, water, vinegar and Tajín until smooth. Pour into a large (3-qt.) saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
     

  2. Stir in frozen meatballs and return to a simmer. Cover and simmer about 20 minutes over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until heated through.

  3. Stir in remaining mango and pineapple chunks. Serve immediately or transfer to a slow cooker to keep warm (see Tip). Garnish as desired.

Tips:

  • Keep warm in a slow cooker on Low or Warm up to 2 hours.
  •  Serve over steamed rice for dinner.
  • Save any drained syrup to add to smoothies, vinaigrettes, fruit salad, seltzer water, iced tea, lemonade, hot cereal or stir fry sauce.
