Ingredients

  • 1 can (14.5 oz.) Del Monte® Italian Recipe Stewed Tomatoes
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil or 1 tsp. dried basil
  • 1/2 loaf baguette bread, sliced 1/2 inch thick
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil

Cooking Directions

1. Drain tomatoes, reserving liquid. In a small saucepan, boil reserved liquid with garlic 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
2. Chop tomatoes; combine with garlic mixture and basil.
3. Brush bread slices with olive oil. Broil until golden. Top with tomato mixture; serve immediately.
