The following recipes, tested in the Del Monte Kitchens, are quick and easy to prepare and provide healthful meal solutions from breakfast-on-the-go to delicious salads, main dishes and desserts. They help you follow the new Dietary Guidelines of increasing your intake of fruits and vegetables to 4 ½ cups a day based on an average healthful diet of 2000 calories per day.

We, at Del Monte, offer an easy way to achieve the new Guidelines every day. 4 ½ cups of fruits and vegetables equate to filling up approximately half your plate with fruits and vegetables at each meal.

Nutrition profiles are provided for each recipe on a per serving basis. All of the below recipes are low in total fat (30% or less of calories from fat), which is well within the Dietary Guidelines' recommendation of consuming no more than 20 to 35% of calories from fat.
